CNet have reviewed the Nikon D80 digital SLR camera. The Nikon D80 is one of the major announcements in the dSLR market this year. With a recommended retail price of just under $1000 (body only) it is aggressively priced and sits between the Nikon D70 and the professional D200. The D80 offers 10.2 megapixels resolution, a 2.5 inch display and has a continuous shooting mode of up to 3 frames per second.
With a review rating of 8 out of 10, the Nikon D80 is an “excellent” camera.
The review results:
“The good: Excellent color rendition and noise levels; large feature set; highly customizable; lightning-fast performance.
The bad: Full raw editor costs extra; flash sync of 1/200 second.
The bottom line: Nikon scores big with the D80, its new 10-megapixel, sub-$1,000 dSLR.”
