The Canon PowerShot A700 is a compact digital camera offering 6 megapixels resolution and a large 2.5 inch LCD display. An optical viewfinder is also available. The PowerShot A700 also impresses with its 6 times optical zoom and a high sensitivity setting (ISO 800). In addition to the 640×480 movie mode at 30fps, the PowerShot A700 also comes with a high speed movie mode, allowing you to record up to a minute of fast moving action at 320×240 with an amazing 60 frames per second.
Equally suited to both casual and serious photographers, the Canon A700 features both fully automatic and pre programmed scene modes, as well as full manual settings.

The PowerShot A700 was awarded 9 out of 10 points for its functionality and 9.4 out of 10 points for its photographic qualities.

Negatives:
* Flash a bit weak.
* Some noise from 200 ISO onwards.
* No indication of the ISO used when photos are captured using Auto ISO, or Auto High.”
