A review of the Samsung Digimax L60 digital camera is available at Steve’s Digicams. The Digimax L60 is an ultra compact camera with 6 megapixels resolution and a 2.4 inch display.
The review impression:
“The Samsung Digimax L60 is a tempting model in the 6-megapixel compact consumer digicam category. Other than the issues we saw with one of our subjects, it offers good image quality, performance, and versatility, all at a reasonable price of about US$299.99 or less. So, if you’re in the market for a durable camera with loads of “cool” effects and easy to use exposure modes, be sure to check out this model.”

The Samsung Digimax GX-1S dSLR camera has been reviewed at Popular Photography. The Samsung GX-1S is a fairly compact and lightweight dSLR camera with 6.1 megapixels resolution and a large 2.5 inch LCD display.
The review verdict:
“As far as introductions go, Samsung could’ve done far worse than the GX-1S, with its nice handling, pleasing picture quality, and compatibility with scads of existing lenses. But it’s also an aging platform whose resolution trails that of the rest of the league. And in the hot DSLR category, “good enough” is rarely good enough.”

The review conclusion:
“The good: Manual exposure control; RGB intensity controls; relatively low price.
The bad: Confusing menus; no aperture- or shutter-priority; exposure adjustments in 1/2-stop instead of 1/3-stop increments.
The bottom line: While inexpensive for a 6-megapixel camera with manual control, the Samsung Digimax S600’s poor image quality is sure to disappoint.”

LetsGoDigital have reviewed the Samsung Digimax i6 digital camera. The Digimax i6 is an ultra compact digital camera offering 6 megapixel resolution and an integrated media player that supports video and audio.
The review impression:
“As well as being a user friendly digital compact camera, the Samsung i6 is also a video camera and can be used as a MP3 player. The camera’s design also contributes to the modern vibe it exudes from both without and within. The Samsung Digimax i6 has an all-round character thanks to its various possibilities and multi-functionality that will attract a varied group of users. In the area of photography, it will not please the demanding photographer, but trend followers and new generation of photographers may very well fall for this multimedia appliance.”

The Samsung Digimax GX-1S dSLR camera has been reviewed at DCRP. The Samsung GX-1S is a fairly compact and lightweight dSLR camera with 6.1 megapixels resolution and a large 2.5 inch LCD display. The GX-1S was developed jointly with Pentax and as a result the camera is compatible with Pentax lenses.
Here are some of the review results:
“Camera performance was good in most areas. The GX-1S starts up in under a second, there’s no noticeable shutter lag, and you can shoot as fast as you can compose. […]
Photo quality was very good, which is what you’d expect from a digital SLR. The GX-1S took well exposed photos with VERY saturated colors (changing the Image Tone option or shooting in RAW mode reduces this), low noise, and minimal purple fringing. […]
If you’re looking for your first digital SLR then the Samsung Digimax GX-1S is worth a look. It’s inexpensive, well built, and it performs well in most respects. It’s also a good choice if you have some Pentax lenses already, since they’ll most likely work just fine on the GX-1S. Naturally, if you’ve got a lot of Canon or Nikon lenses already then I can’t see jumping ship for the GX-1S, but if you’re new to D-SLRs, check this one out.”

The Samsung GX-1S digital SLR camera has been reviewed at ephotozine. The Samsung Digimax GX-1S is an affordable and easy to use entry level dSLR camera. The GX-1S has been developed by Samsung and Pentax and as a result is compatible with Pentax lenses. The Digimax GX-1S offers 6.1 megapixels effective resolution and is equipped with a 2.5 inch display, as well as an integrated flash. Photos can be taken in either RAW or JPEG format and are stored on a SD card.
The review results:
“At this budget price point, the Samsung GX-1S packs a lot of features into a compact body. I was impressed by the inclusion of an 11-area autofocus system, which works well, locking onto most subjects quickly and precisely. I was less impressed by the level of noise produced at high ISO settings. It is certainly not class leading performance, although images taken at these settings are still very usable. This camera may not lead the pack as far as pixel resolution is concerned, but there is more to images than that. The combination of high contrast and pleasing colour saturation produces images that not only look good, but will happily print up to 10×8inches.”
