Trusted Reviews have tested the Samsung NV3 digital camera. The Samsung NV3 is not only a stylish and very compact 7 megapixel camera with a 3 times zoom and a 2.5 inch LCD, but also a media player for music and video files.
The review verdict:
“The Samsung NV3 is an odd little camera, but a good one. It is beautifully designed, extremely well made, handles comfortably and performs well photographically, although the “bonus extras” of MP3 and MPEG4 playback, and especially the text viewer, are really nothing special. However, at well under £200 it can afford a few quirks, and it’s certainly pretty enough to get away with it.”

Digital Camera Review have tested the Samsung NV3, a stylish, ultra compact digital camera equipped with 7 megapixels resolution, a 3 times optical zoom and a 2.5″ display. The Samsung NV3 also doubles up as a media player that plays MP3 music and videos.
The review results:
“The NV3 takes good pictures, but its main point of difference is the personal media player capabilities. Once you have a high capacity memory card, you can take your mp3s and videos with you. You no longer have to carry your ipod and your camera!
While image quality, in my opinion, is average, the multimedia capabilities of the camera are attractive, so make sure you consider them if you’re considering this camera.”

PCMag have reviewed the Samsung Digimax L85 digital camera.
The Digimax L85 is a retro style point and shoot camera with 8 megapixels resolutions, a 5x optical zoom and a 2.5 inch screen.
With 1.5 out of 5 points the Samsung Digimax L85 achieved only a ‘poor’ rating.
The review verdict:
“Bottom Line: Although not quite as bad as last year’s Digimax, the new Samsung Digimax L85 comes pretty close.
Pros: Nice design. Some fun features. Decent color. Can connect via HDMI.
Cons: Significant shutter lag. Images are not sharp. Autofocus problems. Overpriced.”

DCRP have reviewed the Samsung NV3, a stylish ultra compact digital camera with 7 megapixels resolution, a 3 times optical zoom and a 2.5″ display. Expanding the functionality of a digital camera the Samsung NV3 also acts as a media player that plays MP3 music and videos.
Here are some of the review results:
“The Samsung NV3 is a convergence device if there ever was one. It does the usual camera things like take pictures and video clips, but it also can play your MP3 and video files just like your iPod or other portable media player. And while the interface is a little clunky, the NV3 succeeds in doing all of these things pretty well. It may not be the perfect ultra-compact, but this stylish camera is good enough to earn my recommendation. […] Photo quality was very good.”

CNet have reviewed the Samsung NV3 digital camera.
With 7 out of 10 points the Samsung NV3 receives a “very good” review rating.
The review verdict:
“The good: Solid images; handy media-player functions.
The bad: Heavy fringing; awkward movie format in media-player mode; unresponsive zoom rocker.
The bottom line: This camera-cum-media player doesn’t excel at any of its functions, but the Samsung NV3 could be a solid choice if you don’t want to buy both a camera and an MP3 player.”

A test of the Samsung Digimax Pro815 dSLR camera is available at Trusted Reviews. The Samsung Digimax Pro815 is a dSLR like ultra zoom camera with impressive features, such as the massive 15 times optical zoom, the very large 3.5 inch display and the camera top display that allows you to snap pictures while holding the camera at waist level.
The review summary:
“The Samsung Pro815 is a truly superb camera, with superior build quality, outstanding design, a great range of versatile, creative and in some cases unique features, very good performance and outstanding picture quality. The only real let-down is the sluggish autofocus, but other than that it’s a serious alternative to a digital SLR.”

Photography Review have tested the Samsung Digimax Pro815, a dSLR like camera with 8 megapixels resolution, an amazing 15 times optical zoom lens and an equally amazing 3.5 inch display.
The review results:
“I love the big, sharp, telephoto zoom lens and the huge rear-panel LCD. The Pro815 provides many of the tools I require in an all-in-one, super-zoom digital camera: easy exposure compensation access, a live histogram, quick playback access, and reasonably quick start-up response. The things it’s missing - optical image stabilization, noise-free performance, histogram for picture review, quick auto focus response, and minimal shutter lag - bother me, but aren’t necessarily deal-killers for a sub-$1000 digital camera. Popular Photography & Imaging have reviewed the Samsung Digimax S600, an ultra compact 6 megapixel camera with a 3x optical zoom and a 2.4 inch display. The Digimax S600 is reasonably priced and does offer some manual controls.
The review impression:
“Overall, the Digimax S600 is a passable entry-level camera for the first time digital camera buyer on a tight budget, but if you are more concerned with image quality in low light situations, you might want pony up a little more cash and look at other models in the Samsung family […].”

The Samsung Digimax L55W, a compact camera with 5 megapixels resolution, a wide-angle 4.8x optical zoom lens and a large 2.8″ display, has been reviewed by DigicamReview.
The review verdict:
“The Samsung Digimax L55W on paper is an impressive camera, with a wide-angle 4.8x optical zoom lens, a wide-aspect ratio photo mode and an impressive wide-aspect ratio 2.8″ screen the camera is very appealling. However, image quality was generally slightly disappointing, especially when it came to the high levels of purple fringing when photos contained trees or other high contrast areas. The camera is now facing some extremely strong competition from the likes of Ricoh, Panasonic and to a lesser extent Casio. […] If you can find the Samsung Digimax L55W for a bargain price, then it is worth considering, however high image quality is to be found elsewhere.”
