Sanyo Xacti HD1 review at Steve’s Digicams

Posted by Steve on 26th February 2006

sanyo xacti hd1 reviewA review of the Sanyo Xacti HD1 digital (video)camera is available at Steve’s Digicams.

The result of the review:
“The Xacti VPC-HD1 was a blast to use. I love how well it fits in your hand, and is still small enough that you can tuck it away easily. Although the image quality could be a bit better, the awesome movie mode, versatile lens and gorgeous OLED display make up for it. With an MSRP of around $800 we feel it’s too expensive and may well only be attractive to “techno-geeks” who absolutely must have the latest hi-tech gadgets. We feel it will be an entertaining choice, just be sure to purchase a 1GB or larger SD card - it’s totally necessary.”

Sanyo Xacti C6 review at Steve’s Digicams

sanyo xacti c6 reviewA review of the Sanyo Xacti C6 digital (video) camera is available at Steve’s Digicams.

The review conclusion:
“Like its predecessors, the Sanyo Xacti VPC-C6 is an awesome “hybrid” digicam/tape less video recorder. With the ability to be slipped into almost any size pocket or handbag, this camera’s agile performance and great 6-megapixel images ensures that you will be able to savor those special moments for years to come. We feel the C6 will make a great choice for anyone, whether for the family, business or adventure seeker. With an MSRP of around $599, it’s a bit expensive but, it does offer a great “bang for you buck”, and the ability to be used by both left- and right-handed user adds to its appeal.”

sanyo xacti e6 reviewThe Sanyo Xacti E6 digital camera has been reviewed at Steve’s Digicams.

Here is a summary of the review results:
“The Sanyo VPC-E6 is a great digital package. I loved using it, in fact when going to family events this holiday season, it was the one I grabbed for my personal photos. Its small size allows it to be carried just about anywhere, in just about any size pocket or bag. And with good image quality and blazing fast performance, you’re sure to capture those special moments. So if you’re in the market for an ultra-compact 6-megapixel model, be sure to grab up a Sanyo E6.”

Sanyo Xacti C5 review at Steve’s Digicams

sanyo xacti c5 reviewA review of the Sanyo Xacti C5 digital (video)camera is available at Steve’s Digicams.

The conclusion of the review:
“The Sanyo Xacti VPC-C5 is a hybrid digicam that produces great movies and even better still images. […] The only downfall is its limited flash range, but this is heavily outweighed by the positive attributes of this camera. The 5-megapixel images it yields have enough resolution for photo-quality prints up to 8×10-inches […].”

sanyo xacti c4 reviewThe Sanyo Xacti C4”digital (video)camera has been reviewed at Steve’s Digicams.

This is an extract of the review conclusion:
“The Sanyo Xacti VPC-C4 is yet another “cool” little hybrid digicam. […] It produces great 4-megapixel images and awesome VGA sized movies. I found only a few downfalls, its limited flash range and abundance of red-eye in people photos. […] These are heavily outweighed by the positive attributes of this camera.”

Gateway DC T50 reviewA review of the Gateway DC-T50 digital camera has been published at Steve’s Digicams.

The verdict:
“As they say, size isn’t everything and, in the case of the DC-T50, the 5-megapixel imager is not able to overcome the color balance and shooting performance issues we experienced; we honestly can’t recommend this camera.”
