Olympus Stylus 810 review at Steve’s Digicams

olympus stylus 810 reviewA review of the Olympus Stylus 810 digital camera is available at Steve’s Digicams. The Olympus Stylus 810 offers 8 megapixels resolution, a large 2.5 inch display and 3x optical zoom. The Stylus 810 is compact and the metal camera body is weatherproof, meaning the Olympus 810 won’t mind being used in the rain or in dusty conditions.

The review result:
“The Stylus 810 is a welcomed addition to this “water resistant” Olympus line. While it offers great image quality and versatility with its multitude of user-friendly exposure modes and of course weather resistance, it could use a boost in the performance department. With an MSRP of about $429, I feel it’s a bit expensive.”

Olympus Stylus 720 SW review at DigitalCameraReview

Posted by Steve on 15th May 2006

olympus styles 720 sw reviewDigitalCameraReview have reviewed the Olympus Stylus 720 SW. The Olympus Stylus 720 SW, also known as the Mju 720 SW is an ultra compact all weather digital camera with 7.1 megapixels resolution, a 3x optical zoom and a large 2.5 inch LCD display. It is also shock proof and offers other useful features, such as image stabilization.

The review results:
“The Olympus Stylus 720 SW was designed to withstand total immersion in water, extended exposure to mist, rain, snow, sleet, rain forest style humidity, dust, and ocean spray, plus the hard knocks and occasional slips and falls associated with active lifestyles. It is small enough to drop in a shirt pocket, tough as nails, easy to use, and retains all the style of its classic Stylus film camera ancestors. […]
The 720 SW’s images are a bit soft overall, but when the camera’s underwater capabilities, dust/weather resistance, and general toughness are factored in - I believe its strengths outweigh its weakness by a substantial margin.”
