DPInterface have reviewed the Nikon Coolpix L3 digital camera.
The Nikon Coolpix L3 is an entry level point and shoot camera with 5 megapixels resolution, a 3 times optical zoom and a 2 inch LCD display.
The reviewer’s opinion:
“Another new camera entering the densely crowded entry-level camera category is the Nikon Coolpix L3. Average battery life, Nikon features, lots of scene modes, in-camera help and it’s super cheap at about $150. Sadly, the Coolpix L3 has some “super cheap” features as well, such as a slow lens, small and low-resolution LCD, miles-away 10 cm macro mode, no manual ISO selection and slow performance. Even with the excellent movie mode, the quality of the video is just terrible! Images have too high noise levels and quality is just average.
If I were considering an entry-level camera, I’d pass on this one and go for something like the Canon PowerShot A430, Panasonic Lumix LS2 or Sony Cyber-shot S600. They all have manual ISO selection, better macro mode, faster, better image quality, have slightly better feature sets, longer lasting power and cost about the same.”

A review of the Nikon D200 dSLR camera is available at Shutterbug.
The Nikon D200 is a digital SLR camera with a 10.2 megapixel resolution. The D200 impresses with a 5fps continuous shooting mode where it can capture up to 37 JPEG or 22 RAW images, and its new 11 area AF system.
The review verdict:
“Priced at about $1700, the D200 will appeal to those who want one of the best and most useable digital SLRs today, but want to experience pro build and handling without paying the higher price tag of pro-level cameras. At 10+ megapixels it certainly delivers the imaging power for enlargements and even radical crops on 8×10 prints. With more built-in imaging options than one could ever use or imagine, there isn’t much the D200 can’t handle.”

A review of the Nikon Coolpix P4 digital camera is available at TrustedReviews.
The Coolpix P4 is a compact digital camera that offers 8 megapixel resolution, a 3.5 times optical zoom and optical vibration reduction to reduce the risk of blurred images.
The Coolpix P4 scored an overall rating of 8 out of 10.
The result of the review:
“In the Coolpix P4 Nikon has produced an excellent all-rounder, a pocket compact camera with a wider than average zoom range, a useful selection of features and options, and superb image quality. It is rather expensive compared to its immediate competition, but the extra money buys the quality and reliability that go with the Nikon brand. If you are looking for something a little more than the average snapshot camera it is well worth a look.”

A review of the Nikon Coolpix P4 is available at Photography Blog.
The Coolpix P4 features a large 2.5 inch LCD display, a 3.5 times optical zoom and an 8 megapixel sensor. The Coolpix P4 is equipped with vibration reduction, that aims to reduce blurred picture results caused by shaky hands or in low light conditions. While being mostly a point and shoot camera with it’s automatic and scene exposure modes, the P4 does offer an Aperture Priority mode for more control.
The Coolpix P4 scored 4.5 out of 5 stars in the review, and these are the review results:
“The “P” in Nikon Coolpix P4 stands for “Performance”, and overall this camera delivers on that promise. This is a fairly compact camera that you can take everywhere, which is well-designed in the sense that it is intuitive to use, rather than good to look at. The 3.5x zoom lens covers a versatile focal length of 36-126mm, and the new Vibration Reduction feature is a very effective addition to the Coolpix range, especially as the fastest ISO speed of 400 is rather noisy. Image quality is very good, with only the night photograph spoiling the overall performance. The action aspect is the weak point of the Nikon Coolpix P4. There is no shutter-priority mode, a slowest shutter speed of only 2 seconds, and a slow continuous shooting speed. For most other situations, however, the P4 is perfect, with the aperture-priority mode and new menu system being particularly well implemented. If it suits your style of photography (and it suited mine), then the Nikon Coolpix P4 is well worth considering.”

Steve’s Digicams have published a review of the Nikon Coolpix P4 digital camera.
The Nikon Coolpix P4 is a compact digital camera with 8.1 megapixel resolution, a 3.5 times optical zoom and a large 2.5 inch LCD display. The P4 is Wi-Fi enabled, which means photos can be transferred to a computer or printer that supports wireless networking.
With its fully automatic setting, as well as a wide range of scene modes and aperture priority, the Coolpix P4 is equally suitable for point and shoot photographers as well as more advanced photographers.
The review conclusion:
“Nikon’s Coolpix P4 is a capable compact digicam that produces good quality 8-megapixel images and VGA sized movies. Beginners will enjoy its fully automatic and scene assist modes, while intermediate users will be able to get creative with Aperture priority and the range of adjustments available in Programmed auto mode. At a street price of under US$350, it represents a good value, especially considering its 8-megapixel resolution, Vibration Reduction and versatile 36-126mm focal length range.”

Steve’s Digicams have published a review of the Nikon Coolpix L4 digital camera.
The Coolpix L4 is a compact entry level digital camera with 4 megapixel resolution, a 3 times optical zoom and a 2 inch LCD display.
The review conclusion:
“The Coolpix L4 is very similar to its 6-megapixel L2 and 5-megapixel L3 siblings. It offers good image quality as well as lots of user-friendly exposure options, however its sluggish shooting performance and weak flash range were disappointing. With a street price of under $140, it does offer a good value if you take the majority of your pictures outdoors in the bright sun light and don’t need blazing fast speed.”

The Nikon Coolpix S6 has been reviewed at WiFi Planet.
The Nikon Coolpix S6 is an ultra slim digital camera with impressive features: 6 megapixel resolution, 3 times optical zoom, a very large 3 inch LCD display and WiFi (wireless network) capability, which allows you to wirelessly transfer your photos to your PC or directly to printers that support WiFi.
The results of the review:
“The Coolpix S6, like the earlier Wi-Fi cameras from Nikon, is a good product, well designed and well built. However – and this may be sacrilege for a Wi-Fi publication – I do wonder how much convenience Wi-Fi really offers. How difficult is it, after all, to take the card out of your camera and stick it in a printer card slot, or plug a USB cable into the camera and your computer? For now, the wireless functionality remains interesting, but not a must-have.”

A review of the Nikon Coolpix S6 is available at Steve’s Digicams.
The Nikon Coolpix S6 is a feature packed ultra compact camera with 6 megapixel resolution, a 3 times optical zoom and a very large 3 inch LCD display. In addition, the S6 is equipped with Wi-Fi, wireless network, technology, to wirelessly transfer images to your PC or printer.
The result of the review:
“The Coolpix S6 has a lot of appeal to those wanting ease of use and good image quality in a very small stylish package. It offers several unique features that distinguish it from the competition, including a 3-inch LCD monitor, D-lighting, Red Eye Fix, Best Shot Selector, and WiFi connectivity. But it suffers from low flash output and sometimes selects a low shutter speed that results in images blurred by camera shake. At a street price of just under $400, The S6 is a fairly good value if you need its WiFi connectivity to reduce cable clutter, and want an extra-large LCD.”
