Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D at Shutterbug

Posted by Steve on 12th February 2006

Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D reviewThe Konica Minolta’s Maxxum 5D digital camera, also known as the Dynax 5D has been reviewed at Shutterbug.

The review conclusion:
“Priced to compete in the entry-level category, the 5D offers excellent value with its built-in Anti-Shake mechanism. More affordable than the 7D, the newer model is a fast and convenient digital SLR that’s easy to use in point-and-shoot modes. This is definitely a more suitable camera for families than the 7D and yet, it’s a fine choice for serious photographers, too, due to a remarkable versatility. Offering the best of both worlds, this Konica Minolta model deserves to become a best seller.”

konica minolta dimage z6 reviewA review of the Konica Minolta Dimage Z6 digital camera has been posted at cameras.co.uk.

The reviewer’s opinion:
“There are many digital cameras with long zoom lenses to choose between. In my opinion the Konica Minolta Dimage Z6 struggles to keep up with the competition. I was disappointed with the colours the camera produced and I also have concerns about the shutter lag. Therefore I would suggest looking elsewhere if this type of digital camera appeals to you.”

Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D reviewThe Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D digital camera has been reviewed at dcrp.

The review conclusion:
“Build quality is very good, and I found the camera easy to hold. […]
The 5D has features for both casual and experienced camera users. […]
Image quality was a bright spot for the 5D. Photos were well-exposed, with vivid colors and low noise levels. The camera controls noise well at high ISOs, so you’ll still be able to get at least a small print out of photos taken at ISO 800 and above. […]
The Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D is an easy digital SLR to recommend. It costs just over $600 (body only) and it has built-in image stabilization and great photo quality.”

konica minolta maxxum 7d reviewA review of the Konica Minolta MAXXUM 7D digital camera, also known as the Dynax 7D is available at Steve’s Digicams.

Here is part of the review conclusion:
“[…] The 7D faces stiff competition, largely from the Canon EOS 20D. Its image resolution (6 vs 8-megapixels), image noise at high ISO, and continuous capture rate (3 versus 5 frames per second) lag the 20D, but the 7D’s image quality and handling are excellent.
