DCRP have published a review of the HP Photosmart R727.
The review verdict:
“The R727 has tons of very useful features, but it’s photo quality is lacking, which makes this little camera hard to recommend. […]
Camera performance was very good. The R727 starts up quickly, focuses without much of a wait, and shot-to-shot delays are minimal (usually). […]
Photo quality is the Photosmart R727’s weak spot — and it shouldn’t be. While the camera took well-exposed photos with saturated colors, everything is too noisy. […]
While the Photosmart R727 has a very useful set of features, its photo quality lags behind the competition. If you’re only printing 4 x 6’s then maybe it’s worth a look, but otherwise you’ll get better photos (but fewer bells & whistles) from other cameras.”

The HP Photosmart R927 is a compact digital camera that comes in a high quality, all metal body. Apart from its impressive optical resolution of 8.2 megapixels, it features a large 3 inch LCD display and a 3 times optical zoom. The HP Photosmart R927 digital camera has been reviewed at DCRP.
The compact Photosmart R927 is equipped with 8.1 megapixel resolution, a 3 times optical zoom and a large 3 inch LCD display. The R927 also offers a range of other useful features, such as the in camera help system which makes it easy to operate the camera, as well as the ability to create panorama shots by combining several photos into one.
The summary of the review results:
“If there was ever a camera that deserves the cliché “chock full of features”, the R927 is it. It has scene modes, manual controls, and multiple help systems. Want to add borders around your photos? Done. Want a photo of your cat turned into a Seurat painting? No problem. […]
Camera performance was good in most areas. The R927 turns on quickly, focuses without much of a wait, and is ready to take another photo right away […].
If you want a camera that’s easy to use and takes photos best suited for small prints then I’d recommend looking at the Photosmart R927. If you’re going to be making larger prints, the noise and purple fringing will be an issue, so I’d probably look at other cameras. Same goes for those who like burst modes: since the camera’s LCD is dark during continuous shooting (and there’s no optical viewfinder), it’s kind of hard to follow your subject!”

A review of the HP Photosmart R927 digital camera is available at Designtechnica.
The review result:
“Anyone looking for a compact, attractive 8MP point-and-shoot digicam should give this camera serious consideration. Although the R927 had some flaws, the large LCD screen, the great menus, the built-in special effects and—most important—the photos it took put it on the plus side of the ledger. Still for the next go-around HP engineers should figure a way to juice up the time it takes to save a shot. And for God’s sake, put a video out on the supplied dock rather than forcing buyers to shell out another $80 for an accessory.”

A review of the HP PhotoSmart M22 digital camera has been posted at Pocket-lint.
Their review conclusion:
“A weatherproof, all-metal digital compact for a penny less than £90 is pretty much a bargain by pretty much any standards, here the bonus of weatherproofing makes it particularly ideal for those out and about types among you. And while the M22’s larger print capability may be compromised by the camera’s harsh processing, if all you need are snaps while walking or when out and about, then this little camera might be just the one you’ve been waiting for.”
