Fujifilm FinePix F30 camera test at imaging resource

Posted by Steve on 21st August 2006

fuji finepix f30 reviewImaging resource have tested the Fujifilm FinePix F30, a 6.3 megapixel, ultra compact digital camera that not only caters to the point and shoot photographers, but also offers some more advanced controls such as Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority.

Here are some of the camera test conclusions:
“The Fujifilm Finepix F30 is the latest digital camera on the market to prove there’s more to a great camera than just megapixels. Though the F30 has a very nice 6.3MP Super CCD HR sensor which takes vibrant images in daylight conditions, that’s only a small part of the story. Fuji has been wise to emphasize the F30’s range of excellent low-light options, its beautiful 2.5-inch LCD, and its superior battery life while marketing this camera because these are features that will genuinely improve someone’s picture-taking experience.”

Fujifilm FinePix A500 review at imaging resource

Posted by Steve on 29th July 2006

fuji finepix a500 reviewA review of the Fujifilm FinePix A500 digital camera is available at imaging resource. The Finepix A500 is a compact entry level camera with 5.1 megapixels resolution, a 1.8 inch screen and a 3 times optical zoom.

Here are some of the review thoughts:
“If price and basic image quality are your only concerns, the Fujifilm FinePix A500 might be right for you. At less than $200 list, and even lower for its “street” price, the A500 offers seemingly good bang for the buck. […] However, if you’ve tried other current entry-level models, you’ll quickly notice that the Fuji A500 lags behind in its overall picture-taking performance which is why we cannot make it a Dave’s Pick.”

Fujifilm FinePix F470 review at imaging resource

Posted by Steve on 22nd July 2006

fujifilm finepix f470 reviewImaging resource have reviewed the Fujifilm FinePix F470, an easy to use point and shoot camera with 6 megapixels resolution, a 3 times optical zoom and a 2.5 inch screen.

The review conclusion:
“If you’re looking for a slim, reliable camera that won’t cost you an arm and a leg, the 6 megapixel Fuji F470 might be just right. […]
On the downside, the camera’s lowlight performance when shooting without a flash is lackluster, with the camera offering a disappointing and noisy ISO 400 at its highest light sensitivity setting. […]
But if you like a small camera you can easily slip into a bag while driving around town or travelling and forget about until it’s time to shoot, the F470 is designed for you. While I was most impressed with its portability, the Fuji F470 can take some dynamite pictures in the right lighting.”

The review conclusion:
“The FujiFilm Finepix F30 is an awesome digital package. With its unmatched ISO capabilities, great image quality, robust performance, durable metal body, and loads of useful exposure modes, the F30 is tuff to beat in the 6-megapixel category. fuji finepix z2 reviewA review of the FujiFilm FinePix Z2 digital camera is available at LetsGoDigital.

The review impression:
“The Fujifilm FinePix Z2 is an attractive, extremely digital compact camera. It performs excellently and is easy to operate. As said in the introduction, this Fuji Z2 camera is user friendly on all fronts. It’s well designed and will attract a lot of admiring glances. The compact format and light weight makes this an ideal camera to carry around with you. What is surprising is the speed with which the tiny Fujifilm Z2 acts. Fujifilm FinePix F30 review at Digital Camera Info

Posted by Steve on 14th July 2006

fuji finepix f30 reviewThe Fujifilm FinePix F30 camera has been reviewed at Digital Camera Info. The ultra compact Fujifilm Finepix F30 offers 6.3 megapixels resolution and offers Point and Shoot simplicity as well as some more advanced controls, such as Aperture Priority and Shutter Priority.

The review conclusion:
“The i-Flash system is incredibly effective and virtually banned red eyes from its images, but it did need a lot of time to recover and flash again; it just can’t be rushed. A horribly noisy continuous auto focus system, coupled with motor noise on the 3x optical zoom lens, makes an electronic symphony that keeps optical zoom unavailable in movie mode– which is too bad, because much of the competition is including functional zoom in video recording. Still, if users can plug their ears and handle the minor quirks, the Fujifilm FinePix F30 offers outstanding resolution and low noise levels in a small compact camera for $349.”

Fujifilm Finepix F30 review at DigitalCameraReview

Posted by Steve on 13th July 2006

fuji finepix f30 reviewDigitalCameraReview have reviewed the Fujifilm Finepix F30. The Fujifilm Finepix F30 is a 6.3 megapixel, ultra compact digital camera.

The conclusion of the review:
“Overall, I was pleased with the pictures from this camera, particularly when the camera was not pushed to (or beyond) its limits. Daytime pictures were very sharp and well-balanced, and colors were good. The camera performance overall was also very good. Startup time and shot-to-shot times were quick. […]
Considering that the F30 is a moderately priced compact digital camera, it gets very acceptable results, even in tricky lighting situations. I am not quite sure that the camera lives up to its marketing hype, but it’s performance is very good considering the price point and form factor.”
