Nikon D80

Overview

The Nikon D80 is a reasonably priced digital SLR camera with 10.2 megapixels effective resolution and a 2.5 inch LCD. The Nikon D80 supports JPEG and RAW modes and features continuous shooting of up to 3 frames per second for up to 100 JPEG photos. The D80 is also very quick to start up (0.18 seconds).
The D80 can be powered by either a battery pack (which allows recording of up to 2700 images) or conventional AA type batteries which are easy to replace when out on the road.

Pentax K100D

Overview

The Pentax K100D is a compact and light 6.1 megapixel dSLR camera, the comes with optical image stabilization. The image stabilization works by moving the CCD sensor to balance the effects of camera shake and thereby reducing the risk of blurred images. The stabilization does not require any special lenses. The Pentax K100D features a very high sensitivity setting of up to 3200, ISO equivalent and a maximum shutter speed of 1/4000 of a second.
With its automatic shooting mode, the K100D can be operated by point and shoot photographers, while full manual settings are available for the experienced photographer.
