Press Release

Following the continued success of its ‘A’ series of entry-level digital cameras, Fujifilm today announced the launch of two new additions to the range: the FinePix A400 Zoom and FinePix A500 Zoom. Designed with ease-of-use as a priority, these digital cameras produce outstanding images, even for those people who find digital technology a potentially intimidating experience.

Bearing in mind that there are still more households that don’t own a digital camera than those that do, the FinePix A400 and A500 Zoom will make life easier for those thinking of converting to digital photography during 2006.

Boasting 4.1 and 5.1 megapixel Super CCD HR sensors, the FinePix A400 and A500 Zoom are powerful enough to deliver exceptionally sharp images, characterised by accurate reproduction of subtle details, smooth, attractive skin tones and true-to-life colours.

Incorporating 3x optical zoom functions, both cameras allow users to capture exceptionally clear images at a distance, while the impressive 1.8 inch LCD screen makes it possible to shoot and review images quickly and easily.

Both new models feature 12MB of internal memory, giving you the option of shooting and saving pictures whilst your removable xD-Picture Card™ is otherwise engaged. What’s more, the camera’s low power consumption (operating on standard AA batteries) means you’ll never miss out on the action.

These competitively priced cameras also boast QVGA movie capture at 10 frames per second. Users can shoot their mini-movies and playback through their TV at a later date – an interesting alternative to taking still images.
