A review of the Fujifilm FinePix A500 digital camera is available at imaging resource. The Finepix A500 is a compact entry level camera with 5.1 megapixels resolution, a 1.8 inch screen and a 3 times optical zoom.
Here are some of the review thoughts:
“If price and basic image quality are your only concerns, the Fujifilm FinePix A500 might be right for you. At less than $200 list, and even lower for its “street” price, the A500 offers seemingly good bang for the buck. […] However, if you’ve tried other current entry-level models, you’ll quickly notice that the Fuji A500 lags behind in its overall picture-taking performance which is why we cannot make it a Dave’s Pick.”

Photography Review have tested the Samsung Digimax Pro815, a dSLR like camera with 8 megapixels resolution, an amazing 15 times optical zoom lens and an equally amazing 3.5 inch display.
The review results:
“I love the big, sharp, telephoto zoom lens and the huge rear-panel LCD. The Pro815 provides many of the tools I require in an all-in-one, super-zoom digital camera: easy exposure compensation access, a live histogram, quick playback access, and reasonably quick start-up response. The things it’s missing - optical image stabilization, noise-free performance, histogram for picture review, quick auto focus response, and minimal shutter lag - bother me, but aren’t necessarily deal-killers for a sub-$1000 digital camera. Imaging resource has tested the Nikon Coolpix L2,
Here are some of the review impressions:
“For an entry-level camera, the Nikon Coolpix L2 has a lot going for it, including a generous 6-megapixel CCD sensor, a sharp 3x Nikkor optical zoom and improved overall ergonomics, making it the slimmest and best looking digital camera I’ve seen that takes AA batteries. […] While automatic controls were impressive, there’s very little manual override on the Nikon Coolpix L2, particularly relating to ISO light sensitivity adjustment.”

A camera test of the Kodak Easyshare Z612 is available at Digital Camera Review. The Kodak Easyshare Z612 is an ultra zoom camera, equipped with a 12 times optical zoom lens, optical image stabilization, 6.1 megapixels resolution and a 2.5 inch display.
