Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 review at Photographyblog

Posted by Steve on 23rd February 2006

panasonic lumix dmc lz5.JPGreviewPhotographyblog has posted a review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 digital camera.

The DMC-LZ5 was awarded 4 out of 5 stars.

The review result:
“Overall, the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ5 is a stylish, easy to use, versatile point and shoot camera that is afflicted by an old problem. The noise issue is by no means a show-stopper, particularly if you live in a sunny climate or tend to shoot mostly outdoors, but it does stop me from recommending this camera more strongly.”

Nikon D200 review at DCRP

Posted by Steve on 23rd February 2006

nikon d200 reviewA review of the Nikon D200 digital camera is available at DCRP.

Here is an extract of the review:
“The D200 is not aimed toward beginners, as the lack of automatic or scene modes attests. […] Enthusiasts, however, will be thrilled with the manual controls and custom functions, of which there are too many to list here. […]
As you might expect, camera performance is first rate. […] Photo quality was excellent as well. […] My only real photo quality complaint is that noise levels are higher than I would’ve liked at ISO sensitivities above 640. […]
All things considered, though, the Nikon D200 is a heck of a camera. I really enjoyed using it, and I would recommend it to anyone, whether you’re just starting out with a D-SLR, or if you’re upgrading from an older Nikon D-SLR.”
