A review of the Nikon D200 digital camera is available at Naturfotograf.
Here is an extract of the review conclusion:
“You get an image quality within a hair’s width of the D2X, Nikon’s current digital flagship. In some aspects the D200 performs even better; for example, ISO noise is slightly lower over much of the range, and the risk of blown highlights is subtly reduced when the camera is run on automatic metering modes. […] You get a very decent viewfinder, excellent AF performance, GPS support just like the professional big brothers (D1H, D1X, D2Hs, D2X), and a metering system that you can rely on. […]
The price puts the D200 firmly in reach of a huge customer base, much more so than the case is for the professional-targeted D2X.”

The Sony Cybershot R1 digital camera has been reviewed at LetsGoDigital.
Here is part of the review conclusion:
“[…] The quality of the 5x optical zoom is outstanding. The unique reach of the lens, 24 - 120mm (equivalent to a 35mm camera), is an attractive feature for the landscape or indoor photographer, but also makes it possible to shoot a striking portrait with the light-weighted tele lens. […]
The high resolution of 10+ Megapixels leaves unlimited room for the creative photographer to edit, enlarge or crop an image. […] Sony is well in control of the signal/noise ratio, it is the high ISO values in particular that can be worked with. […] The Sony R1 does offer virtually all the same setting possibilities as a digital SLR. […] If you would want to find the same lens and quality of the Sony R1 in another camera, it would without question have a price tag several times higher.
[…] We can only conclude we were lucky to have had an opportunity to work with such a top quality camera. Hats off to Sony! “

A review of the Ricoh Caplio R3 digital camera has been posted at DigicamReview.
Here are the results of the review:
“The Ricoh Caplio R3 is a stylish digital camera with a 7.1x wide-angle optical zoom lens packed into a very compact metal body. The 5 megapixel camera features a 2.5″ screen and built in vibration correction […].
If having a lot of zoom power in a very compact camera is a priority then this is definitely worth considering, but if image quality is a top priority then this camera is best avoided. Ricoh are to be commended for innovation in providing such a large amount of zoom with image stabilsation in such a small and speedy camera, and for that reason I’m giving this camera an above average rating.”

The Nikon Coolpix 8800 is an 8 megapixel camera with an excellent 10x optical zoom. The lens in combination with Nikon’s Vibration Reduction image stabilization technology means that the Coolpix 8800 can be a real alternative to the pricier dSLR cameras.

A review of the Pentax Optio WPi digital camera is available at Steve’s Digicams.
The results of the review:
“Pentax has yet again created a “cool” digicam that can capture great photos whether you’re at home, in the office, or taking a dip in the pool. With 6-megapixels, you have plenty of resolution to work with and will have no problem making beautiful 8×10-inch or larger prints. Priced at around $299, it offers an excellent value for such a versatile little camera.”
The reviewer was also impressed by the WPi’s good shooting performance and the battery life.

The Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D digital camera has been reviewed at dcrp.
The review conclusion:
“Build quality is very good, and I found the camera easy to hold. […]
The 5D has features for both casual and experienced camera users. […]
Image quality was a bright spot for the 5D. Photos were well-exposed, with vivid colors and low noise levels. The camera controls noise well at high ISOs, so you’ll still be able to get at least a small print out of photos taken at ISO 800 and above. […]
The Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D is an easy digital SLR to recommend. It costs just over $600 (body only) and it has built-in image stabilization and great photo quality.”

DigitalCameraInfo have posted their first impressions review of the HP Photosmart M425 digital camera.
Here are there intial thoughts (we will keep you updated on their full review as soon as it is available):
“HP’s M425 is a basic point-and-shoot 5 MP digital camera that will provide its users with an opportunity to shoot, alter, and share images, all while never moving outside the camera. […]
The 1.7-inch LCD is undersized, even for this price range […].
With a price of around $149, consumers looking for an unassuming, standard, straightforward point-and-shoot camera could certainly do worse, and the HP Photosmart M425 manages to hold its own within this reasonably saturated entry price level. “

A review of the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9 digital camera has been posted at PCMag.
The overall review conclusion:
“The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T9 is a super-thin stylish 6MP digital camera that will be sure to get you noticed in a crowd. There are a few issues, but for the most part, it’s a solid buy.”
While the T9’s weak spots are its lens distortion and the hefty price tag, the overall picture quality is excellent and the big 2.5 inch LCD screen impressive for such a small and compact camera. All in all, the T9 was rated ‘good’ in this review.
