sony cybershot dsc m1 reviewImaging resource has posted a review of the Sony Cybershot DSC-M1 digital camera.

This is an extract of the review conclusion:
“[…] The DSC-M1 offers perhaps the best combination of both still and video quality we’ve yet seen. There’s no question that Sony’s choice of the MPEG4 codec has helped bring the quality of videos a little closer to that of the still photos, which these days are getting to be rather attractive even in the lower-cost cameras.”

sony dsc h1 reviewA review of the Sony DSC-H1 digital camera is available at imaging resource.

The review verdict:
“The Sony H1 provides more manual exposure control than many other long zoom digital cameras, yet is easy to use in full-auto mode […].
Performance-wise, the Sony DSC-H1 is fairly fast on the draw […].
All in all, the Sony DSC-H1 is a strong entry into the long-zoom, image-stabilized market[…]. A solid “Dave’s Pick” as one of the best digital cameras currently on the market.”

Sony Cybershot DSC-F828 review at imaging resource

Posted by Steve on 30th November 2005

sony cybershot dsc f828 reviewhe Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F828 digital camera has been reviewed at imaging resource.

Here is part of the review conclusion:
“There’s a great deal to like, particularly for users who want loads of resolution, superb color, ultra-fast shutter response, and Sony-only technologies like Hologram Autofocus and NightShot/NightFraming.
[…] If you’re bothered by higher than average image noise […] and the dreaded “purple fringe” problem, it may not be the camera for you.
If most of your shooting is outdoors […] chances are you’d never encounter the camera’s primary negative points.
Bottom line, I’m going to give it a provisional “Dave’s Picks” status, awarding that accolade for the resolution category and Sports usage […].”

pentax optio mx reviewImaging resource has reviewed the Pentax Optio MX digital/video camera.

Here is an extract of the review conclusion:
“[…] The Optio MX operates as both a digital still camera and a digital video camera.
[…] The Optio MX’s video recording isn’t quite up to the quality level of most digital camcorders.
Overall though, the Optio MX does serve the middle ground of camcorder and still photography in an innovative and lightweight package–with one heck of a zoom, and for a very good price.”

pentax ist d reviewA review of the Pentax *ist-D digital camera is available at imaging resource.

Here is a shortened version of the review conclusion:
“I liked its color rendition, found its metering to generally be more accurate than most […] and felt that a number of its user-interface and exposures were unusually well thought-out.
It also has a very nice “feel” in the hand […]. All in the most compact body of any d-SLR out there. […] Image noise up to about ISO 800 is also lower than average.
All in all, the *ist D is an excellent little d-SLR, easily earning “Dave’s Pick” status.”
